The Weight of Rory - Normal Sport

Designing ‘The Weight of Rory’ for Normal Sport has been one of those projects that stays with you.

Not just because of what it is, a document of one of golf’s most emotionally charged weeks, but because of what it meant to try and translate that feeling into something physical.

Working on a story like this, around Rory McIlroy and everything that moment carried, you’re constantly aware of the weight of it. The pressure, the history, the noise. All of it had to live in the design somehow, without getting in the way of the story itself. Not to mentioning doing justice to the words of Kyle Porter and illustrations of Jason Page which are incredible.

It was a real honour to help shape how this is experienced. To take something so immediate and emotional and give it form.
